Principal's Message:
Welcome to October, what beautiful weather we have had! The last few weeks have found our school experiencing the Terry Fox Run, Chocolate Almond sales, Fire Drills, Volleyball games, and assemblies to celebrate our students. We managed to raise over $3000 in the Terry Fox Run fundraiser, which earned the students an extra recess and a pie in the face of the teacher of their choice. Our chocolate almond sales continue to be quite successful with over $1600 raised so far! We have had three fire drills and on October 6th we invited the fire trucks to join us. The students were able to see what types of trucks and uniforms they may see in the community. Our volleyball players have four games and two tournaments this month and are having a great time! In fact, we will have new uniforms for them arriving shortly. We continue to have amazing pancake breakfasts made for us on Fridays and we are extremely grateful to those who are sponsoring these events. A big thank you to the Penson community for all of the support so far, this year is starting out to be marvelous!
This month our focus is one of the Seven Sacred Teachings - Respect, students can focus on emulating this teaching in the classroom and on the playground.
