Assalamu alaikum Respected Parents & families

It was so nice to welcome back our students last week Alhumdulillah. At our morning ASSEMBLY we talked about what students did to celebrate Eid with their families. It's hard to believe we only have three more weeks of Sunday School left before Graduation on June 4th in sha Allah.

IMPORTANT DATES:

TEACHER APPRECIATION - Sunday MAY 21st, 2023

Dear Parents,


IFN Sunday School is planning a Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch for all our amazing staff members on May 21st, 2023. However, I also want parents to have an opportunity to show their appreciation to teachers as well. Any parents, who wish to to contribute towards a small gift for ALL teachers, can send $10 in an Envelope labelled "Teacher Appreciation money" and give to one of their teachers by MAY 14th. You also have the option to Zelle $10 to 847-772-1869 with a Note: Teacher Appreciation money. We will use all the money collected to buy small tokens of Appreciation for teachers which will be given to teachers on the Staff Appreciation Lunch on May 21st in sha Allah. This is optional and voluntary. I would like to add that the best thing any educator could ever ask for is a note to say how they positively impacted our students' lives. If you do not wish to contribute monetarily, please consider a handwritten note, email, or card to send in and show your appreciation for everything our teachers and staff do all year to support our children ma sha Allah.

Call for Youth Athan Candidates!!

*Important! Call for Athan Candidates *

Alhamdulillah IFN Religious Committee has started an initiative to have a schedule for qualified youth to give Athan and Iqama. This in shaa Allah will be a good way to have the youth engaged in the masjid.

I need your help with letting me know who among our youth have good voice and clear Arabic pronunciation for Athan. For those candidates, please send a voice recording for them giving Athan/Iqama (recorded at home by phone) to *Br. Mohamed Eslam (352-246-8871).*

The *recordings will be shared with the IFN Religious Committee for approval* for the candidate to be included on the list of qualified people.

FIELD DAY Rescheduled to May 21st in the PM (11:30 - 1:00) in sha Allah if Weather permits!

We know our students were very disappointed when the Field Day was cancelled. We are now planning to hold the Field Day on the last day of Sunday School in the PM (11:30 - 1:00) in sha Allah if the weather is okay. We would love to have Parent Volunteers come and help out with this event. Please sign up on THIS FORM
