Please look on our website www.kf.starmat.uk for up-to-date information.
Dear Parents / Carers,
I start this week with the news that Mrs Hey will be leaving us at the end of next week to take up a role working with Apprenticeships nearer to home. Mrs Hey has been an integral part of our team here at Kirk Fenton, covering almost every class during the week and being invaluable with the interventions she leads in Key Stage 1 and EYFS. She will be greatly missed but we wish her every good luck in her new role. We are currently advertising for a replacement and will update you once the position is filled. If you would like to donate to a leaving gift for Mrs Hey, please speak to the school office.
You will see further down the newsletter a poster for the Village RJC Christmas Collection. This is in conjunction with a charity called Mission Christmas that collects toys for disadvantaged children so that they receive a gift at Christmas. Our Young Voices choir will be singing at the event and we would love to have a great turn out from the school to support the collection on 7th December.
Finally, please can you check that your child has a coat at school each day, particularly those that come on the school buses or in cars. Whilst it's not yet particularly cold, the children do go outside to play in drizzle and wet weather so can end up in damp clothes for the day.
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams

On Tuesday, Reception to year 5 took part in a netball workshop and seemed to enjoy it (lots of excited voices echoed from the hall!).A poppy making competition also took place and a display of the entries has been made in the hall. The winners will be announced this afternoon in assembly. Have a lovely weekend.

Eco News
Yesterday we had a whole school worship to re-launch Eco Schools for this year. We are looking for children from every year group who are interested in being on the Eco-Committee for this year. If your child would like to be considered, they need to write a short letter or note explaining why they think they coul. All applications need to be with me by next Friday 17th November. I will announce the Eco-Committee children in worship the following week.
Watch this space for weekly eco news.
