Field Flash
October 14, 2022
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you and your family have had a nice week! We've enjoyed seeing many of you this week at parent-teacher conferences. Our last evening of conferences for this fall is on Tuesday, October 18th. Thank you for your partnership.
This week, we had an exciting addition to our blacktop space. Our student council and our PTO purchased a Gaga Ball pit for our students. For those of you unfamiliar with this game, here is a bit of background about it, as well as our agreed upon Field school rules. Our P.E. teachers helped teach the rules to students, so that they are able to play Gaga Ball during recess time, if they'd like. Many of our students are familiar with this wildly popular game from summer camp or other locations in Park Ridge D64!
A few reminders:
Recess is most often outdoors - please ensure your children are dressed for the cooler weather.
October 15th is the deadline for submitting physical exam/vaccine records for students in kindergarten and new students, as well as eye exams for students in kindergarten and new to Illinois schools.
As a reminder, on Pizza Tuesdays, students should bring their own water or beverage (unless you order one through our lunch program).
- Please no dogs at drop off or pick up! Thank you!
- Please review bicycle safety with your children. As our older students are riding bicycles on their own, we want to be certain they understand the important safety rules of the road. We've had a few reports from parents and neighbors about students not stopping at stop signs or looking both ways while bicycling in the early evening hours.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Goodman
Principal

The event is Friday, Oct. 28th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the staff parking lot. (This year it will not be rain or shine--anything more than a drizzle will result in cancellation.)
