Community Update from Principal Griffin
Dear Erie High School families,
Thank you all for your continued support of the success of your child(ren). We had another great week at Erie High School, and we are looking forward to a strong finish to the semester. This is a very important time in the school year, as we have only six more traditional school days remaining prior to final exams. I encourage our students to maintain a strong focus on academic success and achievement, so that they may finish the semester on a positive note heading into final exams. Please review the 2023 fall semester final exam schedule to ensure your familiarity with our plan.
Congratulations Erie High School football!
Last Saturday, the Erie High School football team won the CHSAA class 4A state championship in a hard fought game against an outstanding Palmer Ridge High School team. I am so proud of our football team - the student-athletes and coaches worked hard and maintained a steadfast focus on the common goal of earning a state championship for the past year. Congratulations, Erie football!
One of the great things about high school football is that it brings our community together. On Saturday, it was incredible to see the enormous turnout of Erie High School supporters at the CHSAA state championship football game at CSU. I had the chance to speak with students, parents, Erie alumni, and families of Erie alumni about what a special day this was for our entire community. I have a deep sense of appreciation for the huge community support that we receive in our school!
Thank you, Erie High School Cheer, Dance, Marching Band, & Erie Tiger Network
Additionally, I appreciate the various student organizations who contributed so impactfully to the football program over the course of the season. The Erie High School Cheer Team, Dance Team, Marching Band, and Erie Tiger Network all made a huge, positive impact on the game day experiences for our students and fans. These hard working, dedicated students and their teachers and coaches make great contributions to our school community.
Good luck at state to Erie High School Cheer & Dance
Please join me in wishing our Cheer and Dance teams good luck in their state competitions this weekend. Cheer competes on Friday and Dance competes on Saturday at the Denver Coliseum. The two teams have worked hard all season to develop outstanding performances in preparation for the state competition. I look forward to seeing them compete on Friday and Saturday. Good luck, Tigers!
Save the Date - Erie High School Education Foundation hosts Face concert at Erie High School
On Friday, January 26th at 7:00 pm, the Erie High School Education Foundation will be hosting its bi-annual Face concert. This is certain to be an awesome concert and a great community for our school! We hope to see a great turnout - please stay tuned for opportunities to purchase tickets to attend this event, which will serve as one primary fundraiser for EHSEF in the 2023-2024 school year.
I hope that you and your family have a great weekend! Thank you for all that you do to support your child(ren) and our school.
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal

📣 Important Registration Updates for the 24-25 School Year 📣
Registration for the 24-25 school year is an important process for our students. It takes a full team effort to ensure that our students request the courses that not only fulfill their graduation requirements but also engage and propel students towards their post-secondary goals. We are proud of the robust opportunities Erie High School students have available to them through Erie High School’s abundant course offerings, which include options for students to engage in concurrent enrollment courses through CU Succeeds and Front Range Community College. Students also have the opportunity to engage in courses through St.Vrain’s Career Elevation and Technology Center and the Innovation Center.
Navigating the abundance of opportunities can be overwhelming. We offer students many opportunities to engage in activities that will prepare them to thoughtfully and strategically select their courses. We also invite parents to navigate our Course Selection Website so that you can support your student in this important process.
