Family Update

Good afternoon Parsons Families,

I wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to all of you. My time here as your interim principal is coming to an end, but it has been fantastic because of the students, staff, and supportive families that I have had the opportunity to work with everyday. Thank you for making me feel part of the Parsons family to start the year. It has been my pleasure working alongside of you to ensure a high quality education for your child. I look forward to seeing you all very soon at Shumate!

Don't forget to stop by our giving tree in the front entryway. We have the opportunity to spread cheer to a few of our families who are in need of a little extra help this holiday season. There are tags on the tree that tell you what the families need. All you have to do is select a tag and sign the sheet with the tag ID#. After that, just return your unwrapped gift to the office with the tag attached.

It's official...Parsons students and families are INCREDIBLE. Together we helped deliver 10 Thanksgiving turkeys and lots of boxes of food to some our families. Thank you to all the families who donated canned food items and gift cards for this amazing event. Mrs. Pendergast's class and Mrs. Izbicki's class will be rewarded with a PJ day and movie before the holiday break in December for being the top two classes in number of items donated. Great job, everyone!!

Parsons students participated in their annual Turkey Trot through the neighborhood this morning. All students in grades Young Fives - Fifth grade ran 1 mile. Students were awarded medals for the top three finishers for both boys and girls by grade level. We had so many great volunteers for this AWESOME event. A huge thank you to Mr. Grima, the PTO, and the Gibraltar Police Department! It was a fun day of physical activity for all involved.

Just in time for holiday shopping, the Carlson Athletic Boosters on-line store is OPEN! Shop now through DECEMBER 5 @ NOON. Pick up will be Wednesday, December 21 from 6-8pm at outside concessions. Stay tuned to the Carlson Athletic Boosters FB group for updates.
