Good Afternoon RPEL Families,

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and restful weekend! Hopefully you are all settling into our new groove with school starting back up. We are ready for another fantastic week of learning at RPEL. Thank you for sharing your kids with us.

School Pictures will be taken during the school day.

• Rocket Virtual Students can have their pictures taken on Tuesday, September 29th from 5:00-7:00 in the RPEL MP Room. Enter the building through door #16 in the back.

• RV families will also be able to pick up food at the high school weekly on Mondays from 2-3pm. Use the Giles Rd parking loop.
• RPEL/RPI has a Food Pantry located within the school. Please contact Chace Willard, Health West Parent Outreach Specialist, for more information. chace.willard@healthwest.net 231-638-9250.

We are in need of your help! Our "Peace Garden" area (near the cafeteria) is need of some attention. We are looking for interested parents/students/community members to help in this process so that we can resurrect this area and provide another safe outdoor learning space for our kids and the kids at Reeths-Puffer Intermediate School.

We need to cut down overgrown shrubs, pull out their roots, replace deck boards, pull weeds, etc. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping, we are asking that you show up for a planning meeting on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 6:30pm at the Peace Garden (next to cafeteria). From there we can plan a day, see what help we will have and what resources we will still need. Mr. Panozzo, Principal at RPI, will be leading this meeting.

Please let Mr. Panozzo know if you plan to attend or if you have any connections with local business that would be willing to donate any money or lumber to replace deck boards. panozzos@reeths-puffer.org or 744-9280 ext. 2155.

Great News! All students can receive free breakfast and lunch from the start of school until at least December 31, 2020. Important details:

• Fill out your Free/Reduced Application. CLICK HERE. Even if you think you don't qualify, the rules have changed and other IMPORTANT school programs are based off of this information. Thanks for doing this!
• Breakfast will be provided in every classroom beginning each day at 9:00.
• Lunch will be provided in every classroom daily beginning at 12:00.
• Rocket Virtual Students will be able to pick up food on MONDAYS at the high school from 2-3pm.

• School Pictures at RPEL for any RV Student on Tuesday, September 29th from 5:00-7:00. Please enter through door #16, located near of cafeteria.
• Monday's, Rocket Virtual students can pick up their lunch/breakfast meals at the high school from 2pm-3pm. Please enter off of Giles Road. You will receive 5 days of breakfast and lunch when you pick it up.
