Costume Parade on October 31st
We will have students wear Halloween costumes to school on Tuesday, October 31st if they choose and we will have a parade at 1:30 PM to allow students to show their costume. Students need to remember that their costumes need to be appropriate for school not excessively gory, scary or bloody. No weapons of any type are allowed with the costume. Students should be able to move around and do normal school activities with their costume. If students have questions or concerns about their costume they may bring it into the office for approval or take a picture, so that we can determine the appropriateness for school.
Safe Routes to School
Dear Parents,
Our school is part of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) partnership program. This is a partnership between Local Motion and our school. This means that we will work together to help our school develop a culture of walking and biking for the entire school community. We were lucky to have the Local Motion's Bike Smart program and trailer here at our school for the last two weeks of September. Students participated in riding challenges such as the snail race, off-road race, cone weaves, and other challenges. Students rid the bikes during PE class, becoming confident competent bicycle riders. In partnership with SRTS, they ask that I send out their short Parent Survey. Please take a few moments and complete their survey. Thank you. The link for the survey is below.
Sincerely,
Laura Berry
