Voice Record Pro 7
Voice Record Pro 7 is a great iOs app for quick voice recording that can be saved directly to Google Drive, Dropbox, the device Photo Album or online in SoundCloud. It allows you to record voice memos, speeches, reading passages, preparation for writing, and on-site sounds at unlimited length with configurable quality. Recorded voices are in standard AAC/MP4/M4A format. They can be converted to MP3 and can be saved in the various places listed above. This app is VERY easy to use! It does require iOS 7.0 or later. This version of the app is free so there are in-app advertisements. $2.99 will eliminate the ads.
Voice Record Pro HD
Voice Record Pro HD is very similar to Voice Record Pro 7. In fact they were created by the same company so they have similar interfaces. Again, you are unlimited in the amount you record. It is free so there are in-app advertisements. It's $2.99 to upgrade. If you haven't or can't update your iOS device to 7.0, this is the app for you. It only requires 6.0 or later.
SoundCloud
SoundCloud is an online audio recorder that also allows you to upload tracks as well. They also have an apps for iOS and android. One great thing about creating a SoundCloud account is, if you use GarageBand on the iPad, you can upload your recording into your SoundCloud account. This provides a link for sharing the recording. It's easy to use. If you need to edit your SoundCloud recording, download your audio file, then go to TwistedWave and drop your file in for editing.

Movenote
Movenote is an online app you can connect directly through your Google Drive*. It allows you to add slides directly from Google Drive, from your computer, or from Dropbox and create a presentation that videos you presenting the slides or documents you have uploaded into the app. You can now create a Movenote presentation from your Gmail Account.
Ways to use Movenote in the classroom for students and/or teachers:
- Recite a poem, speech, narrative that is either self-created or curriculum content.
- Present a presentation of content.
- Present or practice speaking content in a foreign language.
- Explain/detail the steps and or observations of an experiment.
- Reflect on learning.
- Explain/detail a mathematical solution.
*To connect directly through Google Drive:
- Click on the CREATE button.
- Click on CONNECT MORE APPS at the very bottom of the menu.
- Type Movenote in the search window and click CONNECT.
