The public library is hosting a Winter Reading Challenge for teens in the form of Book Bingo! Students can read books to fill out their Bingo Boards. Each bingo earns them an entry into a raffle, with prizes being a $50 VISA gift card, a $25 Half Price Books gift card, a $10 Target gift card, and Sky Zone Trampoline Park coupons. Bingo Boards are available at the Circulation Desk in Horning Library, at the Reference Desk at the public library, and attached digitally right here. Horning Site Council (Family/Parent Advisory Group)
Site Council is Horning’s family/parent advisory group. Our mission is to build our school community, and to support our learners, families, academics and activities. Feel free to contact us any time at horningsitecouncil@gmail.com. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the iCenter (aka Library). Please join us!
You're invited to join us for our next meeting on February 14, from 6-7 pm in the iCenter Hemingway Room. You can enter through the cafeteria doors on Wolf Road. We welcome participation and input from all Horning families and learners!
Staff Appreciation Sandwich Bar at Feb. 27 Conferences
Site Council is organizing a "Make Your Own Sandwich Bar" for Horning teachers and staff during conferences on February 27. We’re inviting all our Horning families to help by donating sandwich makings - deli meats, veggies, cheese, chicken/tuna salads along with breads, croissants, and rolls, plus condiments and tasty side items like chips and dips, and of course yummy desserts! We will also need a few volunteers to set up and clean up.

Thank you for helping to show our Horning staff how much we appreciate them! See you at conferences!
