Welcome to our new CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

CTS New Build
We have received these pictures of the new build which were taken with a Drone by the site contractors. We are pleased to share these with our students and their families and show the progress of the new build here at CTS.

Mental Health Awareness Week
We have revisited Mental Health Awareness Week to coincide with Northamptonshire Mental Health Awareness Day which is today. All our students and staff have taken part and have made pledges.
Stars of the week
Students
- Miss Glass would like to nominate Musa, Maddie, Grace and Emily 9C, Courtney and Caitlin, 9T and Lloyd 9S for their help with the student panels this week, you all did a brilliant job.
- Eoin 7T - nominated by Miss Bridges for producing an amazingly well detailed and lengthy starter activity in RSCS .
- Mr Gourlay would like to nominate the Year 8 Robotics team for building their robot and the attachments in 1 session. Well Done!
- Mr Cox would like to thank the cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream for their dedication to rehearsals and especially Luke 8S for taking on an extra role, showing great committment to the production.
- Miss Watt would like to nominate 7S for their hard work during tutor time on vocabulary learning.
- Mr McRae-Smith has nominated Musa 9C,for fantastic written work in German.
- Mrs Wagner-Lees has nominated Luke 8S for his continuous hard work and attending session 6 to improve further.
- Mrs Ferns, Mr Lee and Mr Horne would like to say well done to all Year 11 students for their hard work on the mock exams, every student has improved.
- Mrs Ferns would also like to thank her Year 9 students who spent time with visitors this week making them feel very welcome in school.
- Mr Gourlay would like to nominate Shane 8T for a brilliant effort programming his Micro:bit.
- Mr McRae-Smith has nominated Cory 7C for his recent performance with his band at Corby Cube.
Staff
- Mr Cox would like to nominate Mrs Wright for her amazing work on the set of the Drama production.
- 8S would like to nominate Mr Crook for his great Design and Technology lessons, they have been really exciting.
- A big thank you to Mr Bidwell and Mrs Toye for their hard work during Mental Health Awareness Week.

Parent/Carer Coffee Morning
Our next Parent/Carer Coffee Morning will be held on Wednesday 15th February in the school Library. We look forward to seeing you then.
Aviation Club
Our students have completed amazing Glider Projects during Aviation Club. Pictured are Toby 7C and Kacper 7S with their gliders.
Reminders
- Wednesday 15th February - Year 11 Parent Consultation Evening - by invitation only.
- Our next Parent/Carer Coffee Morning will be held on Wednesday 15th February from 10.30am to 11.30am.
- The school Drama Production of A Midsummer Night's Dream will take place on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 22nd March at 7.00pm in the George Weston Theatre. Tickets are £2 for adults and £1.50 for students. Please come along and support our students.
