Our winter orchestra concert will take place on Thursday, December 07. Please see the details below regarding this event!

LOCATION: EAHS Auditorium

TIME: 7:00p (doors open at 6:30p) - student report time is 5:30p

ADMISSION: Free

DRESS REHEARSAL: Wednesday, December 06 6:00 - 8:00p

The marching band will travel to West Chester, PA on Friday, December 01 to perform in the annual West Chester Holiday Parade. Please see the details below regarding this wonderful event:

REPORT TIME: 3:30 PM

ATTIRE: Full uniform (instrumentalists will wear black pants); Guard - holiday uniforms

DINNER: Students should pack a dinner for the evening. No nut or dairy products

RETURN TO EAHS: 11:30 PM

To all students auditioning for PMEA D10 Band and/or Orchestra:

You are required to go through a mock audition with me before the instrumental auditions on Saturday, December 02. This is meant to help you prepare for the in-person auditions and ensure you know all of the requirements/expectations.

As a reminder, you are responsible for transportation to & from Parkland HS on December 02. To review the list of requirements for auditions, please click the links below:

PMEA Mock Audition Sign Up

Our annual Christmas...and All That Jazz concert is right around the corner! This event features our jazz band performing holiday arrangements while guests get to enjoy hot cocoa & holiday desserts! Details on the event are listed below.

In order to make this event a success, we need your help! Please see this sign up genius if you are willing to donate hot chocolate or cookies or volunteer at the event!

DATE: Saturday, December 09

LOCATION: EAHS Instrumental Music Room

TIME: 6:00p (doors open at 5:30p)

ADMISSION: $5 in advance/ $10 at door (details for online ordering coming soon!)

2023 - 2024 Concert Dates

Uniform contracts and fees were due by Friday, August 25th!

Please place all shoe order forms and payments in the gray lock box in the band room.

As a reminder, all uniform items should be removed from the garment bag during the week to air out.

• Wash the sweat collar after EVERY performance with a mild detergent. AIR DRY.
• The jacket & pants are DRY CLEAN ONLY. DO NOT IRON OR PLACE IN WASHING MACHINE.
• Shoes should be cleaned after EVERY performance
• Gloves can be washed and hung out to dry.

Have repairs? Contact the uniform coordinators at uniforms@eahsmusic.org. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS AT HOME!

The 2023 marching band schedule is linked here. This includes every event from band camp through the end of season.

The FINAL contribution was due on November 20 in the amount of $400.

There are two options to make this contribution:

2. Check/ Money Order made out to IMA (on memo line, write: child's name - Disney). These can be placed in the IMA lockbox OR mailed to:

The last day to purchase travel insurance for our FL trip is this Thursday, 11/30. It is recommended to purchase this insurance in the event of inclement weather, flight delays, etc.

Please view the following trip forms for our Disney tour. Hard copies will be provided to students the week of October 02.

1. Overnight Field Trip Form - one per student
2. Medical Form - one per student if not completed already
3. Medical Administration Form - one per MEDICATION PRESCRIBED BY A DOCTOR. Please note: this form requires a doctor's signature
4. IMA Nurse Consent Form - one per student if prescription medication is taken

If your child must take an OTC medication that is NOT listed on our medical form, please email Mr. Ballentine.

Our FL trip meeting took place on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00 PM in the EAHS auditorium.

If you are trying to access the travel account and need a pin number, I will share this out this week as well!

Whenever our program travels outside of our local area, we always try to find ways to give back to the communities that we visit. This year we decided to partner with United Against Poverty Orlando. This organization directly gives back to less fortunate families in the Orlando area.

Throughout November, we are hosting a can drive. All donations given will go directly back to this organization. Since we are traveling 1100 miles to Orlando, we decided to set a goal of raising 1100 cans to go with this value. If every member of the Band & Orchestra donates 3-4 cans, this goal is easily obtainable. Donations can be placed in the bins set in the front of the instrumental room.

Our fall sportswear sale is open for one more week! Those items will be available online through Sunday 12/3. Pickup for sportswear will be during the week of December 18. We will make sure the pickup times are after everyone is back from the trip.

This Saturday is our wreath sale pick up!

For all those who ordered wreaths, pick up will take place on Saturday, December 02 from 4:30 - 6:30p at Raub's Farms. We are looking for a few helpers on the day of pick up to help with sorting & distribution.

We are in need of student and parent/guardian volunteers to help sort fruit from our annual Fruit Fundraiser on Friday December 8th from 5pm-8pm. Additionally, we need volunteers on Saturday December 9th from 9:00am-12:30pm to assist with customer pick-up for both the fruit and the wreath fundraisers.

Both events will be at Raub's Farm. Clearances for adults are required as we will be working directly with the students. Students who need volunteer hours for organizations like National Honor Society will be provided with the appropriate signatures.

The IMA is seeking business sponsors to help support our students! This is a NEW extension of our program and we are looking forward to the opportunity to give more to our students!

Corporate sponsorship of the IMA is integral to the financial well-being of our operating budget supporting the many opportunities afforded our students. The IMA supports over $80,000 in annual expenses, including annual scholarships, marching band operating expenses, uniform care, new instrument/ equipment purchases, maintenance costs, travel opportunities, and more.

As a corporate sponsor of the IMA, there are many benefits your organization would receive, in addition to supporting our students. We hope you consider supporting our wonderful music program. Our students work incredibly hard each year and we hope to be able to continue to support their needs through generous donations such as yours.

How it works

3. Upon completion, businesses will receive email confirmation.

The Easton Area High School (EAHS) Instrumental Music Program has a long history of success. The program consists of nearly 380 students in grades 9 – 12 and encompasses marching band, three concert bands, three orchestras, two jazz ensembles, pep band, and pit orchestra.
