What is a yearbook?
Our TCE Yearbook is an 8.5 X 11 book that serves as a "memory book" for the 22-23 school year. It contains class photos of each grade level, individual photos of each TCE learner and school staff member, and many pictures of class and school activities from throughout the year. We have yearbooks from past years in the front office that you are more than welcome to come and take a look at if you'd like.
Will there be a yearbook signing party this year?
Yes! During a school day in May, all learners will have the chance to get their yearbooks signed by other learners and staff. They will be able to travel about the school and mingle with other grade levels during this time. We'll have snacks and music, and it'll be a great time to socialize while getting their yearbooks signed.
Who creates the yearbook?
We are excited to have Nancy Garvey, TCE parent & CISD staff member, in charge of our yearbook this year. With the support of families and staff that have submitted pictures, she has been hard at work creating a great yearbook for this year. We are excited to see the final product!

Reminders
Reminder: Friday Lunch Visitors
Here are some answers to questions you might have:
What is the process for visiting my child at lunch?
Lunch visitors will be required to sign in at the front office and receive a visitor badge that must be worn at all times. We will need to see a photo ID (either your license or passport).
2. Eat lunch with your child
You will be able to eat lunch with your child in the cafeteria. There will be designated tables for lunch visitors. You may only eat with your child. No other learners may be invited to eat with you. You may purchase lunch in the cafeteria or bring a lunch with you.
3. Sign out in the office
Parents will be dismissed from the cafeteria. You will need to go back through the front office to sign out at the end of lunchtime. Parents will not be able to join their child(ren) back in the class or at recess.
Who can visit my child for lunch?
District guidelines limit lunchroom visitors at the elementary level to parents, immediate family members with written permission from a parent, and campus mentors. Immediate family members are defined as the student’s parents/step-parents, siblings, grandparents, or any person residing in the home. A parent can list the person(s) who have permission to have lunch for the entire school year.
If anyone other than the parent(s) listed as guardians in our district eschool system is eating with the child, we will need written documentation of your approval. I have attached a copy of the form below, and we will have copies in the office, as well.
