BOBCAT NATION,
As we embark on the STAAR, we need everyone upholding Test Security and Confidentiality Requirements. "Any person who violates, assists in the violation of, or solicits another to violate or assist in the violation of test security or confidentiality, as well as any person who fails to report such a violation, is subject to the penalties," described in the STAAR EOC Test Administrator Manual.
EOC STAAR TESTING REMINDERS FOR TEACHERS
- No element of the testing room environment should hinder any student’s performance.
- A “Testing-Do Not Disturb” sign should be posted outside the testing room.
- Bulletin boards and instructional displays that could aid students during testing must be covered or removed.
- All desks or computer workstations used for testing must be cleared of books and other materials not required for the test.
- Test administrators must actively monitor all students while testing is in session.

EOC STAAR TESTING REMINDERS FOR STUDENTS
- Get a good night’s rest.
- No cell phones or devices.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Manage your time and stay on task.
- Students are not allowed to talk to one another while testing is in progress.
- Read directions, questions, and all answer choices carefully.
- Do your best!
