Lunch with the Principal
It was exciting to have lunch with my trait of the month students and also our Bobcat students.
The trait for last month was Responsible and all of these
students exhibited the trait of responsibility. In order to be chosen for Bobcat, you must exhibit being kind, safe and responsible. Way to go students.
I love to have lunch and celebrate with you.
Zones of Regulation in Kinder
Last week our Kindergarteners learned about the Zones of Regulation. The staff discussed how their feelings can determine if they are ready to learn. Green is you are feeling great, eyes on speaker and you are ready to learn. Red can be feeling frustrated, mad, embarrassed or out of control. We also taught the strategies to use to get back to green like ask for help, breathe, get a drink or take a walk.
There are blue and yellow zones as well. Ask your Kindergarten student about the
Zones of Regulation.
Trunk or Treat
We are excited for Trunk or Treat this Friday and a huge thank you for all the candy donations and for the work of all of our FFO volunteers. Also, as in the past, we do not have the students dress up in costume for the actual Halloween
day, Monday, October 31st. This is a regular school day and no dress up.
Half Days
Conferences continue this week through Thursday, so Thursday will be a Half Day.
Friday is a full day of school along with Monday 10/31. On Tuesday, November 1st we will have dismissal at 11:30 am again for grading day.
Thanks for being aware of the schedule.
