Wow! This year has flown by and we are now solidly into the fourth term. We have so many awesome things still happening as we move toward the end of our school year, so be sure to note when the next track meets, soccer games, and tennis tournaments are to check out our student athletes.
The spring play will also be coming up soon and kids will be getting ready for prom, so be watching for those pictures on your social media feed as well!
Junior and sophomore students had a great turn out for the ACT and Pre-ACT, and thank all students and parents for their help in arriving on time as we pass that step in the year.
I'm crossing my fingers for lovely spring weather as we go forward, and I hope you can each get out to enjoy it, too!

Scheduling for the 2023-2024 school year is underway. Once students get the classes they want in their academic plan, we can start planning the schedule for this upcoming school year. As a reminder, when students work hard and put in the effort in their freshman and sophomore years, they can take advantage of the opportunities of a Career Internship in their junior and senior years and an Honor Period (an out period) as a senior. Keep working hard in your classes to stay on track!
We are also offering some college and career ready experiences! April 22nd we took a group of juniors to check out Mid Plains Community College. On March 29th we will take another group of juniors to explore UNK.
Sophomores will also get the chance to prepare for life after high school with a visit to Mid Plains Community College on April 12th and a college and career preparedness presentation exclusively for sophomores and their families during Parent Teacher Conferences on April 20th!
Lastly, Seniors and senior families are invited to a Steps Before College informational meeting on March 29th in the Career Center in the Counseling Office from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. We will discuss making final decisions, financial aid offers, what to do the summer before, and how families can support their college bound student. We hope to see you there!

Health Sciences and Business Law
Health Sciences
Currently in our Health Sciences class we are focusing on choosing a medical career and taking the vital signs of a patient. We had a chance this week to take blood pressures and pulses of a patient. Students will also have the chance to gown up in PPE as part of our early unit.
Business Law
As we are starting out the new term students are working on understanding how and why Laws are passed. We will also be working on our first debate over common laws and how they stay the same or change.

In our life skills reading class, we are finishing up our unit on sound and light. We have read about how light and sound travel. Next week, we will be doing different experiments with light and how it reflects or absorbs.
