Dear IG Families:

There never seems to be enough weekends in December. Between concerts, parties, sports, and trying to get some rest, these weekends sure do fly by. I hope you enjoy this time with your families as much as possible.

We will continue our Countdown to 2023 next week. You can find specifics below.

Here is a message from the District in regard to emergency closures:

With the winter season upon us, make sure you stay up to date with the latest alerts about school closings and delays. Program our contact information into your phone (585) 339-1200 and our one-way text message number 98900. Most importantly, check Infinite Campus Parent Portal to make sure your contact information is correct in the system. If your information is incorrect, call the main office of your child’s school to update your information.

December 22- Kindergarten Winter Concerts! Check with your teacher for your child's time.

December 23 - Report Cards sent home, Schoolwide Pajama Day & Community Circle

December 26-30 and January 2 - NO SCHOOL - Winter Recess

January 3 - School Resumes. Happy 2023!

As a count-down to the new year, we will participate in a 10-day schoolwide event resulting in a themed day each day, beginning December 12.

We have started a little friendly competition in the cafeteria. Each lunch period has been assigned a mascot that students can earn to keep in their classrooms for the following week. Lunch monitors assign up to five points per day to each class for showing HEART in the cafeteria and on the playground. We tally the points throughout the week to determine the classes who get to enjoy their mascot the following week.

Congratulations to our first round of winning classes! They get to take their mascots for the next week.
