Last weekend some of our MS track students competed in the MS State Track Meet. Please join us in congratulating the following track athletes for an awesome job at the middle school state track and field meet. Eli Joachim and Brynn Brockman ran a very fast 100m dash! Dylan La Kosh placed 7th in the 8th grade boys 800m run with a personal best of 2.16.96; Henry Chase placed 2nd in the 7th grade boys with a personal best of 2.16.78; Mackenzie Steffen has broken her own school record and placed 3rd in the 7th grade girls 800m run with a time of 2.35.72; Caroline Chase ran an amazing race in the 8th grade girls 800m run with a time of 2.39.80. Great job to Brayden Doro for placing 8th in the 8th grade boys long jump with a personal best of 17ft 5.75 inches; Henry Chase for placing 1st in the 7th grade boys long jump and setting a new state meet record with a jump of 17ft 11.5 inches! Great job Foxes!

Great job to Bennett Musha for a new personal best in high jump. An amazing race for the girls 4x800 team taking 1st Caroline Chase, Mackenzie Steffen, Madison Kiesow and Grace Dodd. The girls 1600 Medley relay placed 1st as well, great job Aaliyah Larsen, Mackenzie Steffen, Caroline Chase and Adela Schoonover. The boys 1600 medley relay achieved a great win, congratulations Brayden Doro, Henry Chase, Eli Joachim and Dylan LaKosh. Keep up the great work track and field athletes!

Are you interested in learning more about the sport of volleyball? If so, there are summer school volleyball courses being offered here at OMS. 6th & 7th grades - Bump! Set! Spike! Beginning Volleyball will focus on the skills of passing, setting, and serving, as well as the basic rules of playing volleyball. This will be accomplished through drills, exercises, and game play. 8th grade - Set It Up! Spike It Down! Advanced Volleyball is for athletes with playing experience. The fundamental skills of passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and serving will be reviewed and reinforced. We will also focus on learning the 6-2 offense and proper defensive coverages. The goal for this course is for each athlete to show growth in his/her fundamental playing skills while implementing a 6-2 offense. Use this link to sign up for summer school courses. The results are in from the Pennies for PTO penny war. The grand total collected from OMS was $433.75! That is awesome, thanks everyone! In 3rd place was the 7th grade with a negative total of -$8.72 and 2nd place went to 8th grade with a positive total of $1.02. Which means that 6th graders won with a positive total of $217.35.
