January 15- Childcare and Preschool is closed to observe and honor Martin Luther King Jr.

January 16- Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens to all current preschool families.

If you haven't purchased a Kings Knights shirt for you preschooler yet, they will be available for purchase on Gingerbread Nights. We will wear our t-shirts on our spring field trip. Consider buying one!

Cost is $15.

Registration will open to all current families on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. A School Messenger email will be sent with two links. The google form link will secure your child's spot in preschool, as well as those registering for childcare. The other link will be the registration packet. All paperwork must be submitted to Sherri Cain by January 31, 2024, to finalize your child's preschool placement. If you need us to print a packet for you, reach out to your child's teacher. She will send one home in your child's backpack. Remember, the google form will hold your child's spot. Packets can be turned in by the end of January to finalize your child's registration.

Staff Favorite Lists

The first kindergarten information night will be on January 11th from 6:00-7:00 at the preschool. This night is for families of children who turn 5 between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. Children must turn 5 by September 30, 2024, to be eligible to attend kindergarten. If you are uncertain whether your child is ready for kindergarten, you'll want to attend to get information from visiting kindergarten teachers. Another year of preschool may be a great option!

For those families with children going to kindergarten in the fall of 2024, your child's elementary building will have kindergarten orientation and open house in August. Children turning the age of 6 between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024 must go to kindergarten.

Kings Early Childhood Center closes when our district is closes for inclement weather. The district utilizes a school messenger phone system to notify you of delays or closings. You will receive a call from me to alert you of delays or closures.

In the event of a delay, the preschool classes operate on the following schedule:

AM 4 day & 5 day classes will begin at 10:55 and end at 12:35 PM.

PM 4 day classes will begin at 1:30 and end at 3:10.

We are collecting items for the Kings Area Community Service and Food Pantry during the month of December. Please help our community by donating food and other needs. The following is a list of the most urgent supplies needed:
