PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Pleasant Run Families:

What a week of crazy weather! Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the week. The rumor is, warmer weather is on the way!

We have enjoyed seeing our 4th grade students start working on the Dream Big Challenge in partnership with the Indiana Pacers - students have the opportunity to create their own interpretation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” message for a chance to win FREE Pacers tickets! Be sure to ask your student about this exciting opportunity! All projects are due, next Friday.

Some of our students will be bringing home invitations to this year’s Panther Excellence Breakfast, which will be held on Thursday and Friday. Students who have met their RIT goals will be invited to this special breakfast. Be sure to look for an invitation.

PTA NEWS

Joining the PTA allows you to meet some great people. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences to make the school year better for everyone.

The mission of the Pleasant Run Elementary PTA is to act in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Pleasant Run PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.

Pleasant Run Elementary has a very active and supportive PTA. We sponsor many fun events throughout the school year. We also provide volunteers for many school events as well as provide support for school programs such as Super Reader, Breakfast with Santa and the annual fund raiser. Please join us for a PTA meeting to see what we’re all about.
