It has officially begun to feel like winter around here in Cobra land. The days are flying by and we will be on winter break in a blink of an eye. Thank you for taking a few moments to read through the latest update below. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.

I am happy to report that our Covid cases have continued to say lower than what we saw last month. We will continue to notify parents/guardians if there is a positive case within their student's classroom. I also wanted to remind everyone that we count ALL cases, even the cases that arise when a student was not present here at school. For example, if a student tests positive after quarantining due to a household contact, we still track that case.

We will have an early release on December 23rd.

School will be on break from December 24 - January 2nd.

School will resume on Monday, January 3rd.

The school board approved additional two hour late starts to the school calendar in the upcoming months. This time will be used for professional development of staff in order to better meet the needs of our students.

A reminder that we will be going outside for recess as much as possible. Please have your students dress accordingly. Hats, gloves, coats, and boats all make for an enjoyable time outside! We have some clothing available, and we are always taking gently used items. We are especially in need of smaller sized snow pants and boots.

If you have not been receiving phone messages please let us know. With winter upon us our first way to communicate a late start or school closing is through our all call system. We can easily add phone numbers if you need us to!

Triton Public Schools has partnered with Gaggle to help support student safety and well-being when using school-provided devices and platforms. Triton Public Schools will use the Gaggle Safety Management solution to keep watch over content students produce through their school-issued accounts to help us identify those who are in need of help.

Gaggle uses a powerful combination of technology and human intelligence to review students’ use of online tools and provide real-time analysis of potentially concerning behavior or content. Gaggle alerts school officials if students show signs of self-harm, depression, thoughts of suicide, substance abuse, cyberbullying, credible threats of violence against others, or other harmful situations. With Gaggle, Triton Public Schools is better equipped to proactively identify students who are struggling, provide support where needed, and foster a safer school environment.

We will also be providing a link on our website to SpeakUp for Safety. This is a confidential digital tip line for students to share their concerns about bullying, suicide, self-harm, drug or alcohol abuse, school violence or student safety threats.
