We are asking that all families provide his/her child with a pair of non-wireless headphones.

Letters have been mailed home. Please use the designated doors from drop-off and pick-up if you choose to not use the car loop.

Our doors will open at 8:15 daily for breakfast. If you child is not planning on having breakfast please have them arrive between 8:25 and 8:35. All students will enter the building upon arrival. Please note we will not have supervision until 8:15.

If you are dropping off or picking up your child from the front of the building, it is very important that children are not dropped off or picked up in the middle of the street. Furthermore, please make sure you pay close attention to the signs and cones in front of the building that prohibit parking. The Dearborn Heights Police Department has been patrolling the area. We just want everyone to be safe. We are also asking that children are come out from the passenger side of car.

Pick- Up: If you are waiting for your child(children) by the front doors, we kindly ask that you wait behind the blue cones. Please step away from the doors so we are able to get students out of the building safely. We appreciate all of your efforts in making our dismissal process run smoothly.

Please be patient the first week of school, as busses may be running late. Thank you!

Please consider using our Hug & Go Lane. Students wait inside our building until you pull-up. Each family is assigned a number which is the same number found on your child's backpack. Please note the car loop should only be used when you pull-up in your car. Please make sure you pull forward and children should only be picked up or dropped off on the passenger side. Please note the car-loop is not for walk-up purposes. Please use the front of the building if you are not using the car-loop.

The parking lot is for staff only. If you are planning on coming down to school, please park in front of the school.

Please make sure you do not make a left turn into the parking lot as that is not allowed according to city guidelines.

Here is our calendar for the year. Please plan vacations accordingly.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the families to all of you that ensure that their children arrive on time and are in school all day! Teaching your children the importance of being punctual, is a life skill which will serve them well as they grow into the next generation of working citizens. Establishing good habits early on, will make a positive difference in their lives. The link between attendance and achievement cannot be overstated. Only in very exceptional circumstances should a child be absent from school.

As a reminder our first bell rings at 8:35. If your child is tardy, you must come down and sign them in. We have many students arriving late and this does not only impact their learning, but that of other students. Students arriving late disrupts classroom instruction that is in progress! In addition, being late means they miss minutes which build into missed learning time and missed opportunities. Please note: 3 tardies are equivalent to an absence. Furthermore, please keep in mind our lunch count is turned in by 9:00. If your child arrives after 9:00, we are asking that lunch is provided.

Picking Up Students Early! If your child needs to be picked up before our 3:40 dismissal time, you will need to let the office know by 12:00 PM. We will no longer be able to dismiss students after 3:00, unless we have been notified earlier that day. Picking up your child for the sake of convenience has been very disruptive for both staff and students. We truly hope you can understand that our ultimate goal is for every child to succeed! Once again, just like arriving late to school, picking up students early disrupts your child’s learning, and that of all the other students. If your child has an appointment that can only be made during school times, then we will accommodate for that!
