Can you believe we are already to November? This school year is going by quickly! Along with time moving quickly, we are also approaching winter soon. We have really been blessed with the weather. Unfortunately, we know that all good things usually come to an end. Hopefully Mother Nature is polite to us this year when it comes to snow. With this in mind, the weather is starting to change quickly. Please make sure your child is prepared for the weather and has a warm coat, boots, hat, and gloves. Children will still go outside for recess.

This month I tend to reflect on all of the things I am thankful for. I am blessed beyond belief to be a part of such a great community of staff, students and parents. I am thankful each day that I am lucky to lead a fantastic staff that gives so much of their personal time and hearts to our children each day. I am thankful for the rich culture we have here and the growth that we are all experiencing with learning how we are all different, but special. I also give thanks for the continual support of the community. Without many of you, we would not be able to continue to develop such great young minds. Take time out to reflect on what you are thankful for this season.

We are excited that many parents have joined us on SeeSaw and Class DoJo! If you do not know what these are, please email or call me and I will help you get them set up. You will be connected to your child all day long. You will be able to see what they are learning and know how they are behaving! Please also consider liking our Facebook page and Twitter. We share information on those sites all of the time! Being connected on all of our social media sites will keep you informed.

A tremendous thank you for the outpouring of support for Trunk or Treat this year! We were able to give our community a safe Trick or Treat experience. The drive through was fun! We love the Roman community!

Please continue to use safe practices and wear a mask and to limit large gatherings. The cases of COVID that have been reported so far have all been from large gatherings, not from tracing it back to school. Please refrain from large gatherings or use safe practices when doing so.

This year we will be celebrating Veteran's differently. We will not be holding our traditional program so we keep our Veterans, students, and staff safe. We have many things we are preparing to deliver to the Legion. We will share all pictures on our Facebook page, so be looking for our COVID safe celebration for our Veterans.

Congratulations on your enrollment into the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Your participants may begin enrolling upon receipt of this email.

You have been assigned a new NPO (Non-Profit Organization) number FQ770.
Please refer to this number in all future correspondence.

To Use the Kroger Community Rewards Program:
Simply encourage your participants to visit http://www.kroger.com. Once logged into their Kroger account they can search for ROME CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL either by name or FQ770 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.

*Customers must have a registered Kroger rewards card account to link to your organization.
*If a member does not yet have a Kroger rewards card, please let them know they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger

REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your organization until after your participants register their rewards card.
Participants must swipe their registered Kroger rewards card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger rewards card when shopping for each purchase to count.
