Searcy Schools Recognize Board of Directors

Searcy School District recognized the Searcy School District Board of Directors at the January meeting. January is School Board Recognition Month in Arkansas. Searcy School District Board of Directors are left to right Philip Williams (member), Jimmy Simpson (member), Dr. Chad Joice (secretary), Dr. Mike Liles (president), and Dr. Brent Blakely (vice-president). Searcy School District is grateful to these individuals for their tireless volunteer efforts and the commitment they show to the students and staff at Searcy Public Schools.

Huff Named District Spelling Bee Runner-Up

Southwest Middle School sixth grade student Ellie Huff earned the runner up position in the 41st Annual White County Spelling Bee. She spelled 15 of the 20 words correctly in the online spelling bee platform. Congratulations, Ellie!

Allen Elected as State FCCLA Officer

Searcy High School student Meredith Allen was elected as State FCCLA Vice-President of Public Relations for the 2021-2022 school year. Congratulations on representing Searcy High School in the state organization!

Searcy Spring Sports Gearing Up

Searcy School District spring athletes are working hard for their upcoming seasons. Due to Covid-19, spring sports were suspended last year. We are excited for spring competitions in track and field, soccer, softball, and baseball.
