Principal's Message
We are full steam ahead into this new semester and January is close to an end! Students recently finished NWEA testing in Reading, Math, and Language Usage. Teachers will be using this data to help inform their instruction based off individual student strengths and weaknesses and assess their growth from the Fall. Mid-term is also quickly approaching as the third quarter mid-term ends next Friday, February 7th. Look for mid-term progress reports to be sent home the back half of the week of February 10th.
Assistant Principal's Message
This time of year attendance can begin to catch up with students. State law requires students to attend school and student's cannot miss more than 10% of the school year. Please make every effort to ensure students make it to school. If your student cannot make school because they are sick, we ask that you provide documentation from a doctor when possible. Our nurse, Amy Bales, can be a resource for you if you need to get a second opinion on whether or not your student should attend school but cannot make a doctors appointment. Please continue to reach out to our office with questions or concerns regarding attendance and we will make sure to do the same. Thank you.
Athletic Director's Message
February 10 is our Vintage Vibe night. Students will be able to purchase vintage Tuttle Middle School athletic gear between January 28th and February 8th to wear for the event before school and at each lunch shift. The cost of the items ranges from $.50-$10. All proceeds will benefit our athletic department. If you were a former Tuttle student or you would like to purchase one of these nostalgic items for another friend or family member, we will be selling the items at the game on February 10th. You can also contact Mrs. Haas, athletic director or athletic department secretary Mrs. Fullenwider for more information.
