Dear ECC Families and Community,

Thank you for being supportive of our COVID-19 procedures. In order for ECC to remain open for preschool and child care services as positive cases continue to increase, we all need to do our part. I am asking that upon arrival in the car line (for arrival and dismissal) both child and adult are wearing masks before an ECC staff member approaches the vehicle. A good reminder is once you see staff members coming out of the building (to take temperatures and pick up/drop off children), everyone in the car puts on a mask. We are doing our part as ECC staff members to wear our masks to keep you and your family safe, so I ask that you do the same for us by wearing your mask. Please be advised that if a staff member approaches your vehicle and masks are not being worn, you will be asked to put one on. ECC has always enjoyed the tradition of a winter program to showcase the beautiful spirits and voices of our children. We've decided that we're not going to let COVID-19 get in our way! The show must go on- it will just look a little different! We will be having each class perform a song while we record it. Once we have a recording of each class put together, we'll send it out to our families. If you would like to have your child wear something special for the program recording, we will be recording the performance on Monday, December 14. It should be fun and entertaining!

Let's all take the time to learn from a child this holiday season & as we welcome the year 2021.

When dropping off a child using the main entrance, please be sure your vehicle and belongings are safe. It is best to turn your vehicle off, bring other children to the entrance with you and lock your vehicle with belongings out of sight. ECC has experienced vehicle theft (when left running/keys are inside) and theft of belongings (visible from the windows) while parents/caregivers are dropping off & picking up. As the days get shorter and it is dark during these times, the risk increases. Be safe!

As the weather becomes colder and children come to school wearing jackets, coats, hats and mittens, it is important for belongings to be labeled. Please be sure to write your child's name on the tags of their belongings. When items get misplaced and aren't identified with names, it makes it difficult to locate and return them. Help us help you!

It is requested that each child come to school with a full change of clothing, including underwear and socks, in their backpack. Is your child's change of clothing appropriate for the changing seasons? Please make sure you have replaced summer clothes with warmer clothing. We appreciate your assistance.

If you know someone searching for a quality preschool program, send them to the Warren Early Childhood Center! We have spaces currently available for half day and full day classes. We also accept On My Way and CCDF vouchers. Registration appointments can be made by calling Mary Crabtree in the ECC office, 317-869-4750.

Session Times for the 20-21 school year are as follows:

Half Day Morning 8:50 to 11:50 a.m.

Half Day Afternoon 12:55 to 3:55 p.m.

Full Day 9:20 to 3:20 p.m.

Child Care 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you arrive after the car line has concluded, you will need to park your car and check your child in with the front office.

AM Half Day- Car line closes at 9:00 a.m.

PM Half Day- Car line closes at 1:00 p.m.

Full Day- All car lines, Orange, Pink & Yellow, close at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you for having your car sign displayed for dismissal. It's makes the car line move much quicker. Don't forget to have your ID ready to present to staff when asked.
