Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

You don't want to miss this! The new state-of-the-art learning facilities are set to open at Zion-Benton Township High School in the first week of October 2022. We invite you to the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for the new Career and Technical Center and Athletic Field. Two separate events will be held for each ribbon-cutting ceremony where food, refreshments, and tours will be provided.

Career and Technical Center: Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.
Athletic Field: Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.

Career and Technical Center:

The official opening of the new 40,000-square-foot renovation to Zion-Benton’s Main Campus marks the outstanding start of the 2022-23 school year with the completion of the center along with other projects, considering the challenges brought by a global pandemic.

The Career and Technical Center is a $9.5M project designed to prepare students for college, career, and life. The new learning space will give students the opportunity to explore several career paths while they gain practical experience, build relationships with leading industry experts, and earn industry credentials.

The ceremony will include tours of the two-story facility, which has new 21st-century classroom spaces including a business incubator, architecture & engineering, broadcasting studio, fabrication lab, advanced industrial arts, athletics department, and other career and technical programs.

Athletic Stadium Renovation Project:

In nearly 50 years, since the opening of ZBTHS, we will unveil a brand new athletic stadium. The renovation of the athletic stadium will give the school community an opportunity to play on artificial turf, host post-season events in Track and Field, address safety issues identified on the athletic field and facilities, and create a more effective and efficient athletic program.

The $4.6M project also includes new visitor bleachers, improved aesthetics with fencing and front entrance as well as a state-of-the-art scoreboard.

The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony will include athletic team drills and performances from the school's marching band, cheerleaders, and majorettes.

¡No querrás perderte esto! Las nuevas instalaciones de aprendizaje de última generación están programadas para abrir en Zion-Benton Township High School en la primera semana de octubre de 2022. Lo invitamos a las Ceremonias de Gran Inauguración y Corte de Cinta para el nuevo Centro Técnico y de Carreras y Campo de Atletismo. Se llevarán a cabo dos eventos separados para cada ceremonia de inauguración donde se proporcionará comida, refrigerios y recorridos.

Centro de Carreras y Técnicas: martes 4 de octubre de 2022, a las 5:30 p.m.
Estadio Atlético: jueves 6 de octubre de 2022, a las 5:30 p.m.

Centro de Carreras y Técnicas:

La inauguración oficial de la nueva renovación de 40,000 pies cuadrados del campus principal de Zion-Benton marca el comienzo sobresaliente del año escolar 2022-23 con la finalización del centro junto con otros proyectos, considerando los desafíos que presenta una pandemia global.

El Centro Técnico y de Carreras es un proyecto de $9.5 millones diseñado para preparar a los estudiantes para la universidad, la carrera y la vida. El nuevo espacio de aprendizaje brindará a los estudiantes la oportunidad de explorar varias trayectorias profesionales mientras adquieren experiencia práctica, construyen relaciones con los principales expertos de la industria y obtienen credenciales de la industria.

La ceremonia incluirá recorridos por las instalaciones de dos pisos, que cuenta con nuevos espacios de salón del siglo XXI que incluyen una incubadora de empresas, arquitectura e ingeniería, estudio de transmisión, laboratorio de fabricación, artes industriales avanzadas, departamento de atletismo y otros programas profesionales y técnicos.

Proyecto de Renovación del Estadio Atlético:

En casi 50 años, desde la apertura de ZBTHS, presentaremos un nuevo estadio deportivo. La renovación del estadio deportivo le dará a la comunidad escolar la oportunidad de jugar en césped artificial, organizar eventos de postemporada en atletismo, abordar los problemas de seguridad identificados en el campo deportivo y las instalaciones, y crear un programa deportivo más eficaz y eficiente.

El proyecto de $4.6 millones también incluye nuevas gradas para visitantes, estética mejorada con cercas y entrada principal, así como un marcador de última generación.

La gran inauguración y la ceremonia de corte de listón incluirán simulacros de equipos atléticos y actuaciones de la banda de música, porristas y batonistas de la escuela.
