Global Conference for Educational Robotics
Galileo STEM Academy's Botball and Jr. Botball autonomous robotics teams competed at the Global Conference for Educational Robotics (GCER) in Saint Augustine, Florida on July 16th-21st. Our Jr. Botball team, comprised of students in grades 4th and 5th, won the Spirit of Botball award. Additionally, Lucas Perkins won 2nd place and Jacob Reber won 4th place for their outstanding coding and perseverance. We also brought two Botball teams made up of students in grades 6th-11th. Both teams demonstrated skill and determination as they competed against robotics teams from across the world. One of teams, with veteran roboticists Calvin Knight and Aryk Likes, scored 2nd place overall in their division! Excellent job to all of our coders and their families for an outstanding showing at GCER this year!
