It is really a fun experience where you are able to build relationships with other parents and families while helping make Holy Cross the best Catholic school in the Archdiocese.
It is with sadness that we announce that Ms. Shelly Neet, 4th-grade teacher, will not be joining us for the 2023-2024 school year. She has accepted a position in the Blue Valley School District. We are grateful that she was able to share her gifts with us last year. Best of luck, Ms. Neet now Mrs. Watson, we know you will continue to do great work on your next adventure.
As we embrace change, it is with much excitement that we welcome Mrs. Vicki Ryan as our 4th-grade teacher for the next school year. She has been teaching for 12 years and values Catholic education as all three of her children attended and her youngest still attends Archdiocesan Catholic schools. Mrs. Ryan's introduction letter is below. Please help me welcome Mrs. Ryan to our awesome Holy Cross community.
Happy Father's Day! Have a wonderful weekend celebrating all our amazing Holy Cross dads and all your loved ones! Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful weather and having a great start to summer!
Meet Mrs. Ryan
Dear Holy Cross Community,
My name is Vicki Ryan, and I am so excited to be your new 4th-grade teacher for the upcoming school year. I'm looking forward to being a part of your amazing community and getting to know you all better. Teaching is my life's passion, and I have been instructing students of all ages for over 12 years.
First, allow me to share a little about myself. I live in Lenexa with my husband, Mike, of almost 30 years, and our three children. Our oldest, Winnie is finishing up her schooling and plans to work as a labor and delivery nurse. Our middle daughter, Maggie works as an esthetician and hair stylist in Lenexa. Our youngest, Liam will be a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas this year. I love to read, cook, and needlepoint in my free time.
My years of experience as a teacher have shaped a teaching philosophy that guides how I help my students succeed in the classroom and beyond. I truly believe that their success begins with making them comfortable in the classroom, so I start our school year with plenty of activities so everyone can get to know one another. Building relationships and trust allows us to learn, develop interests, and best facilitate how we understand the material.
Looking forward to a great year at Holy Cross! Go Hornets!
