🎉 Hartford's FFA came in THIRD place in the NATION! 🎉
The Journey To Nationals!
Team members Izzy Haeft, Josh Knapp, Elisabeth Norman and Ellie Hanlon earned this top spot and not only did they win as a team, but Hartford's Izzy Haeft placed 9th in the nation individually!
The team competed at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis last week on a series of knowledge and skill based assessments which cover every aspect of veterinary medicine: from tool identification to determining doses, to performing an injection.
In order to qualify for this competition, they had to be in the top five at the regional content at UW-Platteville last March and then win state at UW-Madison last April. This team has been competing and practicing for the last three years to reach this level of competition.
They have been coached by Dr. Jackie Haeft with incredible support from Country Vet Clinic in Rubicon and faculty advisors Kimberly Yohn and June Strupp. Way to go!
Reminder for Veterans Who Have Already RSVP'd for Tomorrow!
A BIG THANK YOU!
Nearly ninety students, staff, and community members came out for the Versiti Blood Drive on Wednesday, November 8th. Thanks to them and Subway for providing the snacks and sandwiches.
Here are some of the reasons why people said they gave:
- I'm O positive and I know the value of it so I wanted to donate.
- Because I love giving back to other people. I like the idea I am doing something good for others.
- My dad has cancer and gets blood infusions all the time. This is my way of helping.
- Donating to help other people
The next scheduled Blood Drive is February 14th. Come for the people you love.🧡
