Python Programming and Machine Learning (AI)
Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning & Security [AIMS] Research group from Computer Information Science Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato is offering a two-day programming camp where high school students will use the Python programming language to learn about artificial intelligence and machine learning. Students will also get an opportunity to learn more about Admissions process, On-Campus Dorms tour, Campus tours, Dinning center & food and many more exciting events.
Students will gain Technical Knowledge on:
➢ Use of Tools and Platform for Python Programming
➢ The basics of Python language for machine learning & Artificial Intelligence
➢ How to efficiently use basic packages for machine learning & Artificial Intelligence
➢ How to develop machine learning models using python
Workshop Information:
Topic: Python Programming and Machine Learning (AI)
Dates: July 24-25,2023
Time: 8:30 am- 4 pm
Location: Wissink hall, MSU. [ Exact Location will be sent to applicants one week prior the workshop date ]
Application Fees: $80 [Space is limited, first come first served] [lunch will be provided both days]

Scrubs Camp 2023
Be a Super Hero – Work in Healthcare!
Join us this summer at Minnesota State University, Mankato on June 20th, 21st, and 22nd, for an interactive healthcare exploration camp. Mankato Scrubs Camp is open to any high school student in 9-12th grade.
Students will learn about geriatric care, pharmacy, audiology, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, diabetes education, nutrition, emergency medical services, dental and much more!
The cost for this camp is $100.00. Space is limited so register now!

Ask local businesses if they are hiring. Look for help wanted and now hiring signs in your community.
CareerForce can help with finding employment. Staff are knowledgeable on current openings, how to complete an application and resume and interviewing. Free virtual job search workshops are available. Networking is one of the best ways to find employment. Some studies suggest that up to 85% of people find their job through networking. Ask your parents, neighbors, friends, relatives, your friend's partners, school staff or anyone regarding employment opportunities in your community.
Minnesota Valley Action Council's Young Adult Career Development Programs provide services to young adults that need assistance to complete an educational program or to secure or hold employment.
What can they help you with?
- Paid work experience/internship to learn skills needed to succeed in the current job market
- Career path planning and exploration
- Assistance getting enrolled in/completing an educational goal
- Possible tuition assistance for in demand careers
- Connections to apprenticeships
- Possible funding for transportation, educational, or employment needs
- Virtual work/life readiness program called Get Started. Earn $200 over the course of the one-month long program. Available each month starting the first Monday of the month!
Who may be eligible for MVAC's Youth Program?
Youth ages of 16-24 with any one of these life situations
o Struggle with math or reading
o Meets income guidelines
o Receives public assistance
o Diagnosed & documented disability (or has an IEP/504 Plan)
o Someone who has been, or are in an out-of-home placement
o People of color
o Pregnant or Parenting
o At risk of dropping out and/or wants to work towards GED
o Interested in getting a certification (such as CNA) or 2-year degree
