What an amazing night. This is no easy task to pull off and this pic shows what it takes....hard work and a positive attitude! Thank you Ms. Jem for taking the lead on coordinating all the moving parts! Thank you to Brad and Michelle Elfers for taking the lead on preparing such an amazing meal! You know, just because your kiddo is moving on to middle school, it doesn't mean you can't come back next year! hint hint :) There were so many volunteers helping to prep vegies, set up tables, decorate the room, fire up the grill...the list could go on and on. Thank you all so much! We have to also give a big shout out to the Roots and Shoots Garden Club and all the classrooms the planted and then harvested veggies, made sauces and decorations, and weighed everything. We ended up with 36 pounds of potatoes, 10 pounds of carrots, 10 pounds of beets, and 11 pounds of blueberries! WOW! And speaking of blueberries, thank you to Coppa for making the most delicious blueberry ice cream! I heard more than once "I don't even like blueberries but that ice cream is delicious!". Glacier Seafoods donated a whopping 100 pounds of salmon! And Mr. G. added in another 20 pounds just in case we needed it! Wild Oven Bakehouse donated loaves of fresh bread! And for all the odds and ends Costco and Foodland IGA donated funds to help us complete our meal. Everyone who came left full and happy thanks to all these generous folks! We hope to see you all again next fall to do it all again!
