A Note From Our Kindergarten & First Grade Team

Kindergarten and First Grade will be working with the Coppell Lions Club to coordinate a food and toy drive at Town Center. This will help to provide food and toys for more than 100 Coppell families during the holidays. We'd love for our learners in grades K-5 to bring canned food items and/or a new, unwrapped toy to donate starting December 1st through December 15th. If you are a face-to-face learner, you may drop your items by the TCE Giving Tree in the front of the school, and canned foods can be put in the boxes at the end of each hallway. Virtual learners may call the front office at 214-496-7800 to make arrangements to drop off your donation in the front loop during school hours. THANK YOU for your support!

Town Center Yearbooks

Our 2020-2021 Town Center Yearbook is now available for purchase. The cost is $25, and they will arrive in the spring. Click here to place your order. **Please note that the yearbook cost Is NOT INCLUDED in the TCE Trail Pass.

A Note from our counselor

The Coppell Lion's Club is partnering with Coppell ISD to provide holiday food and toys to area families during the month of December. If your family could benefit from the support of this organization, please complete the form at the following link and send it to kmatlock@coppellisd.com by December 4th. If you would prefer a paper copy to be sent home, please email your request to kmatlock@coppellisd.com or call the front office to arrange a curbside pick-up.

A Note from our PTO: TCE Fundraising

We have some great fundraising options that we are carrying over from last year, and we'd love for our Town Center families to join us. The options below are ways you are able to raise money for our school through any shopping that you are already doing. We are also beginning to schedule "Spirit Nights" at different eating locations in and around Coppell where a portion of the sales go to our school. The wonderful thing about our Spirit Nights is that you can dine in or order your food to go and eat with your family at home.

Spirit Night at JC's Burger Bar

Next Friday, November 20th, JC's Burger Bar in Coppell is donating 20% of their full-day sales from Town Center families and friends to our school. Whether you dine in or pick up (including curbside pick-up), as long as you mention that you are there supporting Town Center, your purchase will qualify. So, whether it is lunch, dinner, or a snack in between, we hope you can join us in supporting Town Center and great food!

Tom Thumb Good Neighbor Program

If your family shops at Tom Thumb, you can easily earn money for Town Center each time you shop. To get started, you will need to link our Town Center account number to your Reward Card. To do this, you simply fill out the Good Neighbor form below and return it to the store's Courtesy Booth (our TCE number is already on the form for you). That's it! Town Center will be linked to your reward card, and each time you shop we will receive 1% of the total sale. This really adds up for us! If you do not already have a Tom Thumb Rewards Card, you can sign up for up at the store. Click here for a copy of the form.

Amazon Smile

Amazon utilizes its program Amazon Smile to donate .5% of sales to a charity of the customer's choice. Our school is registered with this site, so families are able to designate our school as their school of choice. **There are two "Town Center Elementary" schools in the system, so make sure to choose the correct one by looking at the city & state section.

Reminder: Box Tops for Education

We'd love for all of our TCE staff and families to join us in raising money for our school through the Box Tops for Education App. It's a great way to earn money from an activity you already do each week. Please watch the short video below to see how you can get started. It's as easy as downloading the free app and scanning your receipts! You can also invite your extended family and friends to join you in raising money for TCE. Thank you!

Reminder: CISD Fall 2020 Family Survey

CISD relies heavily on the voice of our families to help us validate our practices and seek input in areas that need to be improved. The district encourages you to use this avenue to share your voice in our Fall 2020 Family Survey, which can be found at go.coppellisd.com/familyfall2020. Your feedback will help us evaluate our performance and guide our work for the remainder of the school year. In addition, this survey plays a crucial role in our Community-Based Accountability System or CBAS. CBAS uses multiple pillars to measure success, and the more family participation in this survey, the better we can know how we are doing and where we can improve.

Coppell ISD is looking to hire more substitutes, and they are offering a special incentive. When a substitute works 8 jobs within the specified pay period, they earn a special rate of $155 per teaching job and $105 per aide job. Learn more at http://coppellisd.com/HR.
