Updating your Eduphoria Profile

If you haven't already updated your Eduphoria this year, please do. Although we encourage all employees to do this, it's vitally important for anyone that is new to a campus this year.

Sign in to Eduphoria, then click My Profile from the upper right corner. Be sure to complete all steps, and pay special attention to the Campus selections. Don't forgot to UNcheck your previous campuses.

Go with the ClassFlow

ClassFlow is an interactive lesson delivery application that increases student engagement by utilizing classroom devices with your Promethean board.

Teachers can easily create, share and find lessons based on grade level, subject areas and topic. You can even take your tried and true flip charts and Power Points and convert them into a ClassFlow lesson. When you are ready to teach your lesson, simply direct your students to classflow.com/student where they will enter a 4 letter code to enter your class.

You can send out polls, quizzes and content to your students and they can provide feedback in the form of standard answers, pictures, collages, labelled images and more. Quizzes are automatically graded and individual student data is easily retrievable in the app. If you would like help going with the ClassFlow, contact a friendly IT today.

2018 Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts Named

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert program is an exclusive program created to recognize global educator visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers in the effective use of technology for better learning and student outcomes.

Only 44 of this year's MIE Experts are from Texas. EMS ISD is home to 7 of them! We are honored to have all returning Instructional Technology team-members named 2018 MIE Experts.

Scott, Bob, and Jennifer are first time MIE Experts this year. Jeni, Sallee, and Cindy were named MIE Experts for the second year in a row. Ricky, is our THREE-time MIE Expert.

Our two newest Instructional Technologists, Jason and Tim, were hired after the deadline to submit for MIE Expert, but they are both already certified Microsoft Innovative Educators and on the #PathToExpert for next year! If you're interested in becoming a certified MIE or an MIE Expert, please reach out to any member of the #emsisdit team!

New Login Information for District Website

Great news! Your Blackboard Schoolwires login (website login) is now synced with your EMS ISD network login. You can now use your network username and password to login and update your webpage. You no longer have to remember a separate login!

If you have never registered with Blackboard Schoolwires, you can now Sign In for the first time using your network username and password to create your account. After this initial sign in, contact April Dunning at adunning@ems-isd.net or your campus webmaster so we can grant editing permissions for your webpage.

If you were using a different username than your network username, logging in for the first time will likely create a "new account" for you. Please contact April Dunning at adunning@ems-isd.net or your campus webmaster if you find that your editing permissions are missing.

Print on a Sticky Note

Have your ever wanted to print text or images on a sticky note? If so, here is how to do it.

Open a PowerPoint presentation
In the design tab area change size of slides to 7.5x7.5
Add any desired content to your slide
Duplicate the slide so that you have 4 identical slides by right clicking on the slide and choosing duplicate
Print your PowerPoint as a handout with four slides per page - File --- Print --- under settings, change full page slides to 4 slides horizontal
Print your page
Place 4 sticky notes directly over the 4 slides on your page and reload the page back into the printer.
Print your page again and your sticky are ready!

Single Sign-On and Office 365 at WMS

These Wildcats are learning how easy it is to log into all district systems using Single Sign-On. They also got to check out some great Office 365 tools as well.
