MMS Family,

I hope everyone had a restful break. Your scholars took their interim assessments this previous week. That is a test to measure our progress. Our scholars who showed maximum effort by taking notes on their assessment will get to participate in an effort party this week. We will have additional details to share with you as this week progresses.

Moreover, in case you missed it, MMS is not partnering with a charter school because we have a projected “D” rating. Therefore, the proposal for MMS to enter an 1882 Partnership with a charter campus will not be needed for the next school year. However, the possibility of MMS needing to enter an 1882 Partnership is not completely eliminated. To eliminate that possibility, MMS must earn a “C” rating by TEA within the next two school years. Therefore, we will need everyone’s help as we conclude this semester and start the upcoming one–strong. We will continue to ensure our academic systems are thriving with the addition of tutorial programs which will provide even more support in closing critical learning gaps; our commitment to earning a “C” rating for our campus will require everyone's dedication, support, and assistance.
