SISD Advanced Academic Updates

The Early College High School (ECHS) application is currently open to all Grade 8 students. ECHS offers students the opportunity to enroll in various advanced academic courses to earn both high school and college credit.

In ECHS, students have the opportunity to achieve core completion (42 college hours) or obtain an associate's degree from Lone Star College (60 college hours).

All Grade 8 students are eligible to apply. ECHS is free for all students. To become part of ECHS, students must complete the online application.

ECHS application deadline is February 9, 2024.

Splendora High School is excited to invite all current Grade 8 students and parents to the Incoming Grade 9 Expo event on January 30, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the SHS cafeteria.

At the Expo, parents and students will learn about high school courses and graduation requirements, the Early College High School program, multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and extracurricular opportunities offered at SHS.

Splendora High School will also host a Grade 8 Exceptional Saturday TSIA2 preparation session on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Splendora High School. This preparation session is voluntary. Students interested in receiving extra TSIA2 practice can register for this session using this link.
