This year many Wake County schools, including North Ridge will participate in a program called HELPS 1:1 Tutoring, which uses volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring for students to improve reading fluency and confidence. Community volunteers provide tutoring for hundreds of 2nd – 5th grade WCPSS students for one hour weekly using the evidence-based HELPS curriculum. We need your help to reach more students at North Ridge!

• About one hour per week Monday - Thursday.

• Four-hour training to learn and practice.

• Scripted easy-to-follow lessons and all materials provided.

• Ongoing coaching and support.

Hello NRE Families! The Sunshine Squad and PTA are hosting our first annual Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday October 24th from 5:30-7pm. We have a few teachers and staff decorating their trunks and we would love to have parent's sign-up to decorate their trunks too! Costumes are encouraged. There will be a prize contest for the best trunk! We are asking parents to donate bags of candy beginning Tuesday Oct 1st. Please bring all donations to the front office. Sign-Up Genius

New this year, NRE's spirit rock will be available to rent! Families are now able to decorate NRE's spirit rock to celebrate your student's special occasion. Cost is $25.
