Good Afternoon-

Another great week of learning at Bay View Elementary. We learned how to be safe around electricity from the National Theater Company, the Fire Dept was here to discuss fire safety and our students became Jr. Firefighters for the day. The MN Science Museum taught our 5th graders about invasive species in our local lakes and finally Mr. Ratike and Mrs. Brooks classes harvested all of the pumpkins from our garden for our Trunk or Treat/Harvest Fest. We learned in many different ways this week. Just reminder the Trunk or Treat/Harvest Fest is at Bay View in the East Parking lot tomorrow. This event is rain or shine. If the weather is rainy, we will move the festivities indoor. This event is from 11:00-12:30PM.

A few reminders for the upcoming weeks.

Next week is the EdMN break so no school on Thursday and Friday. Please enjoy the time with your family. Also coming up is our Parent-Teacher Conferences and Book Fair the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 3. Be sure and. sign up for a conference with your child's teacher.

Doors OPEN @ 8am (enter thru door 1/flagpole entrance)

Class Starts @ 8:15am (students need to be in class)

Dismissal @ 2:45pm

Parking spots are available if you need to enter the building with your child

If you have early pickup, please notify the teacher via seesaw and/or Heather in the office.
We know it is congested and we thank you for your patience

One breakfast and one lunch are FREE for all students!!

• Additional or extra milk: $0.50

• Adult lunch $5.00
• Adult breakfast: $2.50

The Kids Closet is a community supported clothing program for children attending Proctor Elementary Schools.

• Who can access it? Anyone whose child(ren) attend Proctor Elementary School . Some families just need a helping hand due to special needs, fire loss, military call-up, recent move, financial difficulties...
• What can people find at the Kids Closet? Outside gear (such as jackets, snowpants, boots...) pants, shirts, underwear, socks and pajamas. Some clothing is new and some is gently used.
• What is the cost? Free to those in NEED
• How do I access the Kids Closet? Call Lynn Peterson @ 218-391-3825 to set up an appointment. Click HERE for the referral form.
