CELEBRATIONS!
Great things are happening at WCS!
SO MUCH CREATIVITY! We had an amazing time on Thursday at the WCS STEAM Night & Spring Art Show. Student art was on display, and families had the opportunity to stop at stations throughout the gym, cafeteria and playground to participate in different activities. Thank you to the families who came out and experimented with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math during the event. We are also thankful for the students and staff who worked to make this event a success!
KINDERGARTEN SCREENING
RUN CLUB
Run Club is well under way with 56 kids participating in the K-2 group and 54 in the 3-5 group! The final race is taking place on the morning of June 3rd.
SPRING CONCERT
PTA BOOK SWAP
Students are encouraged to bring their "gently used" books to school for donation to the WCS PTA Book Swap! There are collection bins outside of the library and in the school entryway. Students should tally how many books they bring in under their classroom teacher's name. The week of June 5th, students will be invited to choose out a different book to take home and the class that donates the most books will have first dibs at the book swap!
Books will be accepted up to Friday, June 2nd.
Please, no adult books, magazines or board books.
HEALTHY HIGHLIGHTS
Field trips are in full swing and if your student needs sunscreen, please remember to apply before they leave home. Also starting after Memorial Day I will be attempting to hand back any medications you may have brought in for your student to have throughout the school year. All medications not pick up will be discarded on the last day of school; I cannot send them home with a student. I will send out an email to let you know that your family has medications that need to be picked up and perhaps we can make a plan for that to happen. ~ Nurse Sherwood
