6:30-7:30 pm in the Elementary Cafeteria
The book fair will be open from Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. This event will be run during the book fair's evening hours. Prize winners will receive book fair cash! Winners can take their prize money to the book fair and pick out their prizes! Buy one and get one free!

Ice Cream Socials

How much? Tickets are $8 through May 2 and $10 at the door. No paper tickets; they will be available at will call. Seating is first come, first served.

Curriculum Corner
As part of our Talented And Gifted (TAG) placement procedures, we will be holding our spring session of Advisory Council. During the spring Advisory Council meeting, the committee will review placement appeals. Parents have the right to request an additional review of student placement into Oak Grove’s TAG program, through a placement appeal which would be reviewed by the Advisory Council. This process is discussed on pages 11 and 12 of the TAG Handbook.
In addition, please see the TAG Handbook for the matrix used to make placement decisions (p. 10) as well as the placement flowchart (p. 13) for additional information.
Parents requesting participation in the appeal process are required to complete the Parent Inquiry Form beginning on page 22 of the TAG Handbook. The Parent Inquiry Form must be completed and emailed to Sarah Cacciatore at cacciatore@ogschool.org no later than May 17th for consideration at the spring Advisory Council meeting. Parents will be notified via email regarding the final committee decisions.
*Please note, appeal process may only be utilized once a calendar year.
Annual Boys vs Girls Eagle Volleyball Scrimmage
Who: 7th/8th Boys & Girls on the 2018-2019 Volleyball Teams
When: Friday, April 26, 3:35-6:00
Where: Patt Gym
What to bring: Good sportsmanship, lots of laughs, a snack to eat after school, water bottle, kneepads, and whatever attire your team wants to wear--you can pick a theme, wear your spiritwear, or wear any athletic clothing. This is a casual event, purely for fun and bragging rights. Friends and family are welcome to join as spectators.
Tournament Schedule:
Warmups: 3:35-3:55
Match 1 (4:00): 7th Boys vs 7th Girls
--> 1 minute between games, 3 minutes between each match
Match 2 (4:30): 8th Girls vs 8th Boys
Match 3 (5:00): 3rd/4th Place Game: Losers from Game 1 and 2
Match 4 (5:30): 1st/2nd Place Game: Winners from Game 1 and 2
Each match will consist of two games to 21, win by 2, cap of 23.
