Order flowers for the Senior Walk by Tuesday!
As they walk by, underclassmen are encouraged to applaud and celebrate them and can also purchase a flower to give to them. Flowers are $1.00 each. The flowers will be given to underclassmen at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20 so students can choose to who they'd like to give them.
If you'd like to order flowers, please see Mrs. Fleming no later than Tuesday, May 17. That's only two school days to place your order! Flowers can also be ordered using the link below.

Varsity Baseball

The boys played Caseville in an NCTL doubleheader on Monday, May 9th in Caseville, sweeping the doubleheader with two no-hitters! They won Game 1 with 14-0 and Game 2 with 15-0. Good Job! The Overall Record is 9-4 and the NCTL League Record is 5-2.
Game 1 Stats (14-0 win):
The team did an amazing job with hits in this game. Charlie Fliedner went 3 for 4 hits and Zack Lemke, Dylan Ledford, Mason Stofcheck, Owen Gall, Tommy Giles, and Joe Breeding each added 1 hit. Ledford’s hit was a triple.
Mason Stofcheck had 2 walks and Marty Barker, Zack Lemke, Dylan Ledford, Owen Gall, and Tommy Giles each had 1 walk.
Tommy Giles scored 3 runs; Barker, Giles, Ledford, and Lemke scored 2 each; and Breeding, Fliedner, and Stofcheck each crossed the plate once.
Fliedner achieved 4 RBIs this game, followed by Lemke with 2 and Ledford, Stofcheck, Gall, and Breeding with 1 each.
Barker and Gall each stole 3 bases, followed by Giles, Ledford, and Lemke with 2 each and Breeding and Stofcheck with 1 each.
In this game, Dylan Ledford pitched a near-perfect game!!! He allowed zero hits, zero earned runs, 2 walks, and 12 strikeouts while pitching a 5 inning complete game.

Game 2 Stats (15-0 win):
In this game, Owen Gall, Tommy Giles, and Michael Hickmott each had 2 hits followed by Charlie Fliedner and Josh Harris who each had 1 hit.
Zack Lemke, Sonny Coscione, and Charlie Fliedner each had 2 walks, and Tommy Giles and Mason Stofcheck added 1 walk each.
Coscione scored 3 runs in this game followed by Giles, Flieder, Gall, and Hickmott who each had 2, and Lemke, Stofcheck, Barker, and Harris who had 1 each.
Fliedner and Hickmott achieved 2 RBIs in this game, and Stofcheck had 1.
Barker, Gall, Coscione, and Fliedner stole successfully 2 bases each, and Breeding and Lemke each 1. In this game, Zack Lemke pitched 4 perfect innings. He allowed 0 runs, 0 hits, and 0 walks while striking out 9 Caseville batters.

Dryden Cardinals Varsity Baseball against Mayville
The team traveled to Mayville for an NCTL Stars division showdown on Thursday, May 12th in Mayville, sweeping the doubleheader in two tightly contested games. Game 1 with a 3-2 win and Game 2 with a 9-8 come from behind walk-off win. Their Overall Record is 11-4 and the NCTL League Record is 7-2.
The boys started strong with 2 hits each from Charlie Fliedner, Mason Stofcheck, and Joe Breeding. Zack Lemke and Tommy Giles both had 1 hit. Mason Stofcheck and Marty Barker each had 1 walk. Dryden played some small ball and Tommy Giles, Sonny Coscione, and Owen Gall each had 1 sacrifice bunt.
Fliedner, Lemke, and Stofcheck each had one run scored. Fliedner, Stofcheck, and Breeding achieved 1 RBI each. Breeding successfully stole 2 bases, followed by Barker and Fliedner, who each stole 1.
In pitching, Zack Lemke picked up the win. He pitched 6 strong innings for a complete game, giving up 2 hits, 2 walks, and 0 earned runs and striking out 9 Mayville batters.

Game 2 Stats (9-8 win):
In the second game, they started with Owen Gall, Tommy Giles, Charlie Fliedner, Josh Harris, and Sonny Coscione, who each had 1 hit. Charlie Fliedner celebrated his 18th birthday by hitting a walk-off single to win the game in the bottom of the 5th inning, and scoring Josh Harris from 2nd base! Congratulations on that! Charlie Fliedner had 3 walks, followed by Tommy Giles and Marty Barker with 2 walks each, and Zack Lemke and Mason Stofcheck added 1 walk apiece.
Fliedner and Lemke each scored 2 runs, followed by Stofcheck, Barker, Harris, Giles, and Breeding who each had 1.
Coscione achieved 2 RBIs each, and Fliedner, Gall, and Giles each added 1.
Barker successfully stole 2 bases and Breeding, Lemke, Coscione, and Fliedner each stole 1.
In pitching, Owen Gall got the start on the mound and combined with Sonny Coscione and Zack Lemke to help Dryden to victory. Zack Lemke got the win in relief, giving him 2 wins on the day!

Varsity Soccer
On Monday, May 9th, the Dryden/ Imlay City girls soccer team played Richmond High School in Richmond. The girls played a vigorous game versus Richmond, and did an amazing job, tying Richmond, 1-1. Imlay City freshman Wren Dennis scored Dryden/ Imlay City’s single goal, which was assisted by junior Jessica Peters. The Dryden/ Imlay City goalie, senior Ashley Hickmott, made a total of ten saves throughout the game. Great job girls!
Amazing job, girls! The next Dryden/ Imlay City Varsity and JV girls soccer games will be on Monday, May 16th, at North Branch High School. Good luck!
Varsity Girls Track

On the 6th, Girls Varsity Track ran at the Peck Invitational. They won 1st overall with 144 points and came home with their first trophy of the season! Olivia Stickler took 1st in both the 100 and 400. Her 100 time was 12.7 and her 400 was 1:06.9. Audrey Napolitano took first in both the 1600 and 3200. Her 1600 time was 6:38.2 and her 3200 was 14:55. The girls 4x200 (Delaney Wolle, Kierstyn Stankevich, Keira Miller, Olivia Stickler) and the 4x400 (Delaney Wolle, Keira Miller, Jalynn Delmotte, Oliva Stickler). The 4x200 time was 2:01.9, And the 4x400 was 4:54.3. In Long Jump, Keira Miller placed 1st overall with a distance of 12’8.5”.
On the 10th, the Girls took 3rd overall with 48.5 points at the Dryden Quad. Olivia Stickler took 1st in the 100, 200, and 400. Her 100 time was 13.8, her 200 was 29.0, and her 400 was 1:07. She also took 2nd in the long jump with a jump of 13’5.25”. Delaney Wolle took 2nd in the 100, 200, and 400. In the 100, she ran a 14.3; in the 200, she ran a 29.8; and in the 400, she ran a 1:11.9. In the 3200, Audrey Napolitano took 2nd with a 15:01.2.
Varsity Boys Track
At the Peck Invitational on the 6th, Boys Varsity Track placed 3rd overall with 81 points. Aiden Fitchett took 1st in the 1600 with a time of 5:11.7 and in the 800 with a 2:20.6.
This past Tuesday at the Dryden Quad, the Boys placed 2nd overall with 54.5 points. Aiden Fitchett took 1st in the 400, 1600, and 3200 and 2nd in the 800. In the 400, he ran a 57.0, In the 800, he ran a 2:23.9, In the 1600, he ran a 5:18.7, and in the 3200, he ran a 11:58.1. In the 100, Michael Stickler ran a 12.0, ranking him 2nd overall. Noah Hall also placed 2nd overall in the 3200 with a time of 13:26.2.
