Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope you all had a nice long weekend. This Friday is a half day for students. We will follow an abbreviated schedule for 6 periods, dropping our X block. Next Monday, 10/16/23, we will have our make up staff meeting after school.

This week I will be conducting walk throughs with Tim and I am hoping to visit 3-4 classrooms. I will write up the observations and meet with the teachers whose classrooms we visited. Tim will sit in on our debrief meetings to give me feedback as part of my evaluation process.

I am excited that we are beginning lesson studies with our math department this week. Lesson studies are a great way for us all to work together to improve student outcomes. More information can be found at the following link-

We will be conducting lesson studies with all staff throughout the year.

Oct. 26 we will have a flag football tournament after school. This will be a fundraiser for our new bleachers. The tournament is open to all NB High School students and staff. Come join us for fun, food, and prizes! Get your team ready!

Data from our mid-term grades shows 3/4 of our students are failing at least one class. Only 46 of our students are passing all their classes. Please be sure you are providing opportunities for your students to make up work and stay after school for extra help if needed. Parent communication is also important for any student not passing your class. We will discuss strategies for our students' success at our next staff meeting.

Finally, we will have our attendance party for the winning class and our middle school student of the month ceremony next week.

The Dental Team will be here Friday December 1st for both NBES and NBHS students.

Parents can sign their children up online or use a paper form that we will have available

in each Main Office.

Senior Parking Spaces:

11:30-2 pm

Seniors will be painting their approved parking space designs. Refreshments and food will be provided.

1st Annual Flag Football Fundraiser:

Team Registration (team of 10) ~$30 per team

Single Registration (will be put on a team) ~$5 per person

Tournament style- 2 game guarantee

Registration is for students, faculty, and staff- Family, Friends, and Community members are encouraged to come watch!

Concessions will be sold

All proceeds go to the Raise the Bleachers Fundraiser

Halloween Dance:

Friday October 27th

6- 8 pm; Grades 7-12

$10 per ticket OR $7 dollars with a food pantry donation

Dress in your Halloween costume

Food, games, and PRIZES for best costume!

Halloween Spirit Day:

Tuesday October 31, 2023

Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume to school

* Must be school appropriate- NO masks, weapons, drugs or alcohol references. Should not interrupt the classroom environment.
