Piner Bearcat Community,

We had a great first week of school! The students are doing such a great job at complying with all the changes such as properly wearing masks, sanitizing frequently and social distancing during lunch. The atmosphere is positive and there is excitement in the air as everyone was so ready to get back together. I want to thank you all for your support and patience as we started a very different kind of school year.

I am excited that we are able to provide online learning opportunities for our students but we do miss everyone! ONLINE learners - our PBB Piner Bearcats Broadcast news crew will be broadcasting soon so be sure and subscribe. One of the projects they are planning is to visit different class activities and experiments so that our online learners and families can participate! Subscribe below!

ONLINE LEARNERS

Remember that you will need to login to your Edgenunity account daily for attendance. It is important for our online learners to work at least 4 hours a day on their course work. To find out who their Virtual Contact Teacher you can find that on their schedule "0" period. Remember you will use Edgenuity for all class except the following: Athletics, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Theater (this will be accessed through Google Classroom) Please have your child work on the course work assigned, some electives will be loaded later and your child will be able to get started as they appear in Edgenuity. If your child is having trouble logging in to their Edgenuity or Google accounts please email ksedlacek@shermanisd.net for assistance.

TEAM BUILDING

Students in Mrs. Todd's 8th grade U.S. History class participated in team building activities. Students had fun collaborating, working together and getting to know each other!

Piner Middle School serves 7th & 8th grade students with a wide variety of activities and opportunities where they can explore their full potential as young Bearcats both on campus and in the community. The campus provides a supportive school atmosphere that focuses on the development of well-rounded students by meeting the social and emotional needs of all students. All students are encouraged to be involved in both academics and extra-curricular activities and the campus encourages parents to become active educational partners to ensure success for all students.
