All students have completed the Reading and Writing portions of SC Ready. Thank you so much for getting them here and encouraging them to do their best. Next week, we will wrap up testing with Math on Tuesday for everyone and Science on Thursday for 4th grade only.
Testing Dates are:
May 16 - SC Ready (Mathematics)
May 18 - SC Ready (Science - 4th Grade Only)
The following are things you can do to help ensure your child does his/her best:
1 - Make every effort to have your child present and on time on each of these dates.
2 - Be sure your child gets a good night's rest the night before each test.
3 - Feed them a good breakfast on the morning of testing.
4 - Make every effort to keep their morning as calm as possible. They have grown a ton this year and are ready to do amazing on these tests.
5 - Remind them of the following:
- Read everything more than once.
- Work out your math problems on paper and use scratch paper to take notes etc.
- Take your time. The test is not timed so there is no need to rush.
- Do everything you know for sure first and then go back and work on problems that give them a little more trouble.
