Winter Weather ~ Brrrr!
Well, like it or not, it appears that Michigan’s winter weather has arrived a little earlier than usual, and with that comes the daily packing and unpacking of your child’s winter clothing. Please be sure to send your child to school with the necessary winter attire to help keep them warm and dry when outside for recess.
As we start getting more snow, we will begin talking to students about the importance of placing their boots at the bottom of their locker, and then hanging up the rest of their gear. Oftentimes, students like to pile everything at the bottom of their locker, but when they have wet boots and snow pants, those items end up getting all of their gear (coats, gloves, hats) soaking wet. As you can imagine, it can then be quite uncomfortable to put those items on at the end of the day. Once we start experiencing more snow-covered days, any reminders that you can provide at home would be much appreciated.
