A Note from Dr. Neubeck
Happy New Year! What a crazy week it was for weather and getting back to school. I walked around some schools on Friday and things seem "back to normal," whatever normal looks like in schools. Thank you to the parents, students and staff as we navigated the inclement weather, especially the days right after break.
I know that many people make resolutions each new year and soon forget what they were. I can assure you that our resolutions at Byron Public Schools are to find more ways to work every day at helping students find success and build positive relationships with students and families. We are also committed to creating more avenues to effectively communicate with our families and community. We have much to look forward to in 2023 that will continue to enhance what we can offer to students and the community. First, our construction projects to improve our facilities are moving along well as buildings are being erected and fields are being built. We welcome several new school board members who are energetic and committed to keeping Byron Public Schools a model district in the State. We will continue to develop authentic assignments and assessments that live out the 6Cs in our profile of a graduate and help students find their passions and path to success. As our community grows, we will grow in not only the number of students but the numbering of offerings and opportunities. 2023 will be an exciting time to be a Byron Bear and it will take the continued cooperation between the staff and families that will make our district even greater.
I hope you accomplish your resolutions and thank you for helping us accomplish ours.
It's Great To Be A Byron Bear!

The Profile of a Graduate is the model we use to live out the District's Strategic Plan on a daily basis. It has been 5 year since we first implemented the Profile of a Graduate and we continue to find ways to teach the six Cs: Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Citizenship, and Character.

Construction Update
The construction plans continues to move forward and it will be great to watch our facilities transform over the next 18 months. It is exciting to see the progress and to think about what great facilities we will soon have for our students and our community. Please check out our webcam at https://app.oxblue.com/open/knutson/byronhsathletics and watch the time lapse pictures. We are so appreciative of the community's support.
