Weekly Update

I hope you are doing well during these challenging times. Our teachers have loved the relationships created through advisory this school year and greatly miss seeing students on a daily basis. Teachers have been working to adjust classes to make sure each student has a pathway to success for the remainder of the year. As we continue the shift from on site learning to a virtual model, we want to help students adjust and support them in meeting their academic and personal goals.

Teachers have been connecting with students to set up a weekly check-in. We will use these check-ins to help students achieve their goals and develop habits of success that will help them now and in the future, such as stress management, resilience, and self direction. You are more than welcome to attend any check-ins! If your student has not yet connected with their advisor, please respond to this email and I will help them connect.

We are reviewing applications for next school year. As always, we give priority application status to family members of current students as well as referrals for friends. If you have someone interested in Dishman Hills High School for fall enrollment, please have them fill out an application online and list your name in the referral spot. We have a limited number of openings each year so it is important that anyone interested completes their application as soon as possible as applications are considered in the order they are received. All Dishman students have immediate access to resources at the Spokane County Library such e-books, audio books, movies, music, digital magazines, ancestry.com, legal forms and so much more. To gain access students need to go to the library page and follow the steps below:

1. Click on My Account in the top right corner

2. Your library card number is 9363 and your Skyward username. It will look something like 9363lastnfir000

3. Password - the month and day of your birthday. Ex. 01/01

4. Click Log in

Students and families that need to speak with our counselor about college applications, schedules, FAFSA, food, housing or other needs can make an appointment for a phone meeting with Pam by filling out the request below.
