It's the little things..., and a #proudprincipal

This Wednesday we had our final student assembly of the year. Here is a link to what was shared. The best part of the assembly was the risk a group of 5th graders took to reach out to the entire school about their passions of books and food for underprivileged children. I am so proud of Lauren, Marin, Emily, Chayse, Allie, Ryanne, and Emerson. I am also proud of the respect and attention the students showed these girls. Three other girls, Alissa, Lucy, and Avery, are also sharing their passions with HAWS and Project Linus. Our students are a real caring bunch.

Staff Appreciation Week

Above are just a few examples of the great support we have received from our families for Staff Appreciation Week. Thanks to the PTO and their organization of the daily events, the staff was treated to lunch, a great framed personalized superhero picture, thank you notes, and desserts. We are so very fortunate to learn in the Merton community.

Rummage Sale is Saturday, May 21st

Friday Night Live Glow Zone for 6th grade is on May 20th

Friday Night Live GLOW ZONE

May 20th, 7:00 - 8:30pm @ Sky Zone in Waukesha

Each student gets a Glow Zone t-shirt to jump in and take home!

Cost of event in advance will be $12 per student and includes required Sky Zone jumper socks and a 90-minute session on the trampolines.

Checks are due Monday, May 16th, payable to Merton PTO. After the 16th, or at the door, cost is $15 per student. This event is for 6th grade Merton students only. You must fill out the Sky Zone waiver for your child/ren/ PRIOR to the event. https://milwaukeestore.skyzone.com/m/Waiver

Parents, please go in and drop students off at 7:00pm to sign them in and to ensure Sky Zone has a waiver on file for each child you are dropping off. At 8:30pm, parents should be inside to pick up students. Car-pooling is fine, as long as an adult is responsible for ALL students in the carpool!
