Well here we are, heading into October! It is hard to believe we are already over a month into school. And October is kind of a crazy month with inservice days on the 13th and 14th and then parent-teacher conferences the 17th and 18th. Something tells me this month is going to fly by. Thank you all for the support in getting our school reopened and back to "normal".

Ms. Jem and the garden club kids and volunteers have been busy planning an amazing meal for us to all share on Thursday. We will be serving grilled salmon, roasted vegies (straight from our gardens), salad, bread, and blueberry ice cream. Donations of $20.00 for families or $5.00 for individuals are greatly appreciated to help support the continued success of our Roots and Shoots Garden Club. We would like to thank the following business's for their donations.

FoodLand IGA, Costco, Coppa, Wild Oven Bakery, Harborview PTA, Glacier Seafoods, and many others. We could not make this happen with the support of our community.

Thank you to those of you who created your student's accounts and got the word out about our first school fundraiser! We are very close to meeting our $5,000 goal and that is with just 48 of our 301 families signed up! If you haven't made an account yet you still have time. . Mr. G is working to plan the book fair. This is a chance for you to choose books for all the readers in your family. We will have the book fair available for students to browse for books during their library times Oct. 10th-21st. The book fair will also be open during parent teacher conferences.
