Spelling Bee Information

• Please sign and return the spelling bee permission form.

• Each student will be given a list of words that will be used in the school Spelling Bee.

• The school Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, February 1st.

• SPIRIT/SCRIPPS Spelling Bee at the county level will be held on Saturday, February 23rd.

• We are allowed to send two spellers to the local bee. Students can be in third, fourth or fifth grade. The Spelling Bee format will follow the Scripp’s guidelines.

• We will be meeting at 8:35 in room Library. Once we have parent emails and the number of participants, we will send out a schedule of meetings.

• Please begin to study and practice the lists with your child at home.

Spelling Bee Permission

Spelling Bee Information

Mr. Cashell will oversee the artistic direction of the play, but the production, in all its many aspects, cannot go on with out the assistance of an army of parent volunteers. We will need a parent or two to be the Play Manager(s) to coordinate all of the volunteers and to work closely with Mr. Cashell. Set construction, costume design, make-up, rehearsal supervision, refreshment sales, etc.--there is a job for everyone! We have been incredibly fortunate over the years to have parents who rise to the occasion to help create productions that kids will long remember and treasure! We will have a meeting for parents of the cast on Tuesday, November 27th at 7:00 PM in the BSES LGI.

HSA Meeting: Please join us Thursday, November 29th at 10AM in the Collaboration and Innovation Lab for our next HSA Meeting. We will be discussing recent fundraisers/events and working to plan new activities for the winter/spring! We look forward to seeing you all there!

Board and Brush Parents’ Night Out: Our first ever BSES Parents’ Night out at Board and Brush is this Friday night! This year our Art and Literature Fling will focus on Greece! Each week in our announcements we will include a fact about this fascinating culture that stretches back thousands of years and has had such incredible influence on the world. PLEASE SHARE THE WEEKLY FACT WITH THE KIDS! In May, around the time of our Art and Literature Fling, there will be an electronic quiz on the weekly facts sent home for families to complete. All families achieving a perfect score will have their names put in a prize basket raffle to be drawn at the conclusion of the Art and Literature Fling on Wednesday, May 28th (you'll have to be present to win)!
